EDGEWARE’S TV SERVER WINS STREAMING MEDIA’S EUROPEAN READERS’ CHOICE AWARD
Edgeware’s unique TV Server has been recognized in Streaming Media’s European Readers’ Choice Awards, winning the prize for best Server Hardware/Software.
The TV Server, which is purpose built by Edgeware to deliver amazing TV, can enable service providers, broadcasters and content companies to offer a full range of IP-based TV services for origin and TV CDN solutions.
By implementing the servers, content distributors can guarantee better viewing experiences as high-speed video transmission performance can be sustained. Edgeware’s servers have enough memory to store the entire Netflix catalogue in a single RU space. Built with flash technology which means they have no moving parts and very low power consumption, the servers also have a MTBF (mean time between failures) of more than ten years.
As well as winning the Server Hardware/Software category at the European Readers’ Choice awards, Edgeware was also shortlisted for Best Analytics Service, Delivery Network, Streaming Services Provider and Video Advert Platform.
In total, there were 397 submissions for the 2017 awards, with more than 2,700 Streaming Media Europe readers voting across the 17 categories. A full list of winners can be seen here.
